Net Chatting Society of Anyone Choosing to Care

My entire family has done some sort of blue collar job from plumbing to painting to Residential Deck Sealing. The field of plumbing, electrician, and cleaning has been running through my families blood for decades, as far back as anyone can remember . So when it came time for me to grow up my family didn’t have any doubt in their minds that that was the trade that I was going to be going into . I don’t know how to use tools or anything. I’m not handy. I am scared for myself with a pair of pliers, I can’t even imagine if someone handed me a saw and told me to get to work, I would for sure hurt myself or someone else . It would not be safe for me to be in those fields, that is how people die . I am a very careless, clumsy person, and that is how it all starts in those occupations . Unfortunately I did not understand that I would be expected to take this position when I grow up or I might have put a little effort into learning what it was all about and attempting to acquaint myself with the world of tools and power drills and saws . This occupation is somewhat like a monarchy, the son goes to work with the father and learns how to do the trade, after years and years of learning, when the father thinks it is time, the son steps up and takes the fathers position, and this is how it goes from generation to generation . So of course there was a lot of stress on me to go to work for my dad, my entire family and even my friends didn’t see how I could do anything but . Everyone was really confused when I wasn’t exactly what they thought I was going to be . I suppose I can’t blame them. They were just set in their ways and didn’t know how to handle someone as different as I turned out to be.
