Great Instant Noodle

Instant noodle or ramen originated in Asia and is very tasty. It is a dried pack of precooked noodles combined with oil, which is cooked in boiling water for 5-10 minutes. All instant noodles comes with a pack of seasoning which gives the instant noodle it’s beautiful flavor. Instant noodle can also be eaten raw out of the packet. This is possible because it is already precooked.

A japanese business man by the name of Momofuku Ando was the creator of modern day instant noodle and is the founder of Nissan foods. Nissan food today is the bigger producer of instant noodle. Nissan creates many different flavors of instant noodle, such as beef instant noodle, chicken instant noodle, seafood instant noodle, pork instant noodle etc.

The first instant noodle was released by Nissan way back in 1958 in Oasaka Japan. The first ever flavor was chicken. 13 years later in 1971, Nissan released another cool instant noodle product which was the Cup Noodle, an instant noodle in a cup, not just any cup, a styrofoam cup which is waterproof. Later on, they improved this concept by adding dried vegetables and later on fake meat.

Instant noodle is very popular among college students due to the fact that instant noodle is very cost efficient. There are many instant noodle recipe. However, they are known to be junk food and seen as unhealthy for longterm consumption. One single serving of a pack of instant noodle can contain high carbohydrates and very low in fiber, minerals and vitamins. Since the precooked noodles are fried during the creation process, which results plenty of saturated fat. Also since instant noodle is served in a soup based broth, it can raise the sodium level since the broth contains high levels of sodium. So much so, that it is usually 60 percent above the US recommended daily intake.
